Sports Education Program

The Sports Education Programme (SEP) is a collaborative effort between Sport Singapore (SportSG) and the Ministry of Education (MOE) aimed at promoting sports education and participation in schools. Under SEP, each school is provided with a S$10,000 dollar-to-dollar matching grant for them to take up sports programmes.

Upwall Climbing is proud of be part of this program, providing schools with various SEP qualified classes for their students.

Basic Technique Class
Programme Code : BASI2104014
Bouldering Introductory Course – A class for students who are keen to improve their techniques and learn the right posture, balance and movements to climb effectively. Upon completion, participants of this class will receive an SSMCF Certification.

Singapore National Climbing Standard (SNCS) Sport Climbing Level 1
Programme Code : SING2104001
The objective of this programme is to introduce students to sport climbing in a safe and fun environment. At the end of the course, the participants would have acquired skills in the following passing requirements:- Correct harness usage- Correct tie-in technique- Correct belay technique- Correct use of climbing calls. This course is certified by SSCMF.

Singapore National Climbing Standards (SNCS) Sport Climbing Level 2
Programme Code : SING2104002
The objective of this programme is to introduce students to sport climbing in a safe and fun environment.At the end of the course, the participants would have acquired skills in the following passing requirements:- Correct usage of knots and equipments- Confident lead belaying- Proper use of climbing calls- Recognising incorrect clipping and rectification- Correct top out techniques- Arresting a fall. This course leads to an SSCMF certification.

The objective of this programme is to give students a chance to be exposed to climbing as a sport in a safe and fun environment. Students will be supported and encouraged by instructors, as well as their peers.
